Welcome to 8 Ball Pool! If you're looking for the old version, you can play it now. To aim your billiard cue, simply move your mouse. Click and drag to set your shot power and release the mouse button to take your shot. When arrow icons appear around the cue ball, you can click and drag it to move it. This only happens during the break or when your opponent commits a foul. Pro tip: Adjust the spin by clicking on the cue ball icon at the top of the game screen. The rules of this version of 8 Ball Pool are based on WPA rules. Solids and stripes are assigned to players based on the first ball potted after the break. If you make a ball on your turn or during the break, you get another turn. However, committing a foul will result in your opponent taking the cue ball in hand, placing it anywhere on the table, and shooting anywhere on the table. Fouls include potting the cue ball, failing to hit a ball with the cue ball, failing to hit one of your balls first with the cue ball, and after hitting one of your balls, failing to pocket a ball or strike a side of the table with either ball. If you pot your ball and your opponent's ball on your turn, play passes to your opponent. To win the game, you must pot all of your (solid or striped) balls and then pot the black 8 ball. Be careful not to pot the 8 ball before your other balls, or you automatically lose. Fouling when shooting for the 8 ball won't result in a game loss, unless you pot both the cue ball and 8 ball with your shot.
